fish1Bluefish invaded many of the coves in Greenwich Bay on Wednesday night, said Ken Ferrara of Ray’s Bait & Tackle. The blues were pretty large, around 10 pounds apiece.

The biggest bass in the Bay are still preying on pogies in the Providence River, he said, but there are plenty of stripers in the 30- to 37-inch range in the waters of Mill Cove and off Longmeadow, Rocky Point and Bear Point. School bass have been nailing flies, Kastmasters and plugs off Pine Hill and Chepiwanoxet. Full report
