SOUTH WELLFLEET – More than a dozen cold-stunned Kemp’s ridley sea turtles washed up on Cape beaches in the past few days, marking the beginning of the region’s turtle stranding season.
After a warm fall, the water temperatures are finally dropping below 50 degrees. It’s too cold for the sea turtles, which were supposed to have moved south for the winter by this time. Full story
