Portsmouth RI. J Boats launched the eagerly anticipated J/95, a 31′ performance daysailor with “big boat” feel, J Boat acceleration, and only 3′ draft.
Sea-trials revealed a boat that could (with board up) sail 6.5 kts upwind in 12 kts and tack through 85 degrees. The wheel steering is feather-light, and with twin rudders, the boat can steer with full control out of any heel angle.
Looking good in these three shots.
Built by CCF Composites of Bristol, RI
Tooling by International Marine of Bristol, RI
Spars and rigging package by Hall Spars.
