The fall edition of Tides (Save The Bays Magazine) is out and the cover is dedicated to the fight to keep LNG out of Narragansett Bay. Here are a few highlights.
Make it a called third strike! The latest “offshore” option for LNG citing follows the 2006 “small barge” option, shot down by the U.S. Coast Guard, and the original 2002 large tanker proposal, also shot down by the Coast Guard.
Weaver’s Cove LNG’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) will spawn a series of public forums where, again, the facts will make a strong case against the proposed terminal. Here’s a guide that focuses Save The Bay’s position and helps put into perspective why this project is simply wrong for the Bay.
