Business Roundtable at Providence Boat Show

12345The Future of the Rhode Island Boating Industry

The Rhode Island Marine Trades Association will be hosting a presentation and discussion by boating industry leaders looking at the future of the industry in the Ocean State. Moderated by Mark Murphy, Editor of Providence Business News, the event will take place on Thursday, January 7 at 2 PM in the Fifth Floor Rotunda of the Rhode Island Convention Center, prior to the 4 PM opening of the Providence Boat Show. Speakers will include Ben Hall, Vice President of Hall Spars in Bristol, Chris Watson, Director of Marketing at KVH Industries in Middletown, Rich O’Meara of Core Composites in Newport, Terry Nathan, President of IYRS in Newport, and Michael Keyworth, Manager of Brewer Cove Haven Marina in Barrington. In addition, Susan Daly, Chairman of RIMTA’s Education & Training Committee will explain the education and training activities of RIMTA and a welcome will be extended by Tom Rich, President of the Association.

Hall Spars & Rigging is a builder of carbon fiber rigging for the world’s fastest racing sailboats and has provided engineering and manufacturing services in the construction and defense industries.
